Last November 20th, 2004 in the framework of the III National Seminar of History of education, made in the city of Barquisimeto, a representative group of investigators set up a meeting to found the Venezuelan society of history education. In that way, Venezuela is up to date with the correlative partners in Latin America: Chilean society of history education (1992); Argentinean Society of history education (1995); Colombian Society of history education (1996); Brazilian society of history education (1999), and others. This act consolidates an effort of more than ten years of work during the time, which means conforming groups of investigation. Venezuela hosted the III Iberoamerican Congress of history of Latin America education (Caracas, 1996), but this event did not do by itself the consolidation of a national community. It was not easy. Even tough it is expected to rule a synergy spirit where we will overcome the egoism that has involved the groups and societies of other countries. It will be necessary to be costume the growing of the discipline depends of a sense group. Barquisimeto is the headquarters of the Venezuelan society of history education because it is a pioneer in the investigation of Social History and Institutional history at the Master of teaching education in the UPEL-IPB, being the investigators community with the highest production of books and scientist articles related with the area. It can be said that it is an act of justice when it is recognized a status of the investigation of history education in the Venezuelan province.
